Ghost World

It’s friday night, and I’ve just been to see Ghost World. Here’s the obligitory link to the movie on the IMDB. It’s a really quite weird movie. After High school, Enid (Thora Birch), a freak-and-geek goes on a journey after meeting Seymour (Steve Buscemi), a rejected old-music collecter guy in his middle ages. The movie seems to go nowhere, but the journey is one to be remembered. For the weirdness factor of this movie, and thought provoking events that happen during it, I give this movie ggggg out of ggggg, and put it in my top 10 list, but you might hate it. For a treat, wait till the end of the credits if you do watch it.

Insani-Scooter

I’m borrowing Jeremie’s foot-scooter. I’m like this bullet on the footpaths now. I love it. It’s like probably 5-10 times faster than walking. It’s actually kinda a little exercise… I got kinda sweaty after making a run to dymocks and back ; 15 minutes one way on foot, 3 minutes on the scooter.

Some bad things though: Hard wheels have no shock absorbsion, so all the little cracks in the pavement, not to mention the numerous cobblestone areas around Wellington go straight into my ankles. If I was to buy my own one, it’d have to have tires or shock absorbers.

Edit: Removed the link to Jeremie’s website – seems he’s using it for a test platform for another site.

Mmm… Risk

Yeah, I’m addicted to board games. I’ll admit it. Yesterday, $100 dollars of vouchers for The Warehouse (NZ’s Wal-mart) arrived in my hot little hand. I won them for doing a consumer survey with AC Nielson. So I bought Risk. And a laundry hamper.

Last night I played Kill Dr Lucky with Mufasa, MonkeyJay and Nelg, we really enjoyed it – full report later when I get a moment.

Photograph Photograph

I got the photo gallery up now. It’s only got my old 21st Birthday party pics from this february, but hopefully I might be able to secure a digital camera one day and start putting them up. Anyway, enjoy peeking into my life and my family 🙂

Guy on the street

This morning I was walking to work reading Stop Stealing Sheep and find out how type works, and this guy (who must have been drugged out) walks next to me and asks me what i’m reading – I said just a book, and show him the cover. He said ‘oh I love books’ and then commented on the title saying ‘it must be pretty awesome’. I don’t know what to think. Maybe I’ll read and walk more often 🙂
