GRR. Couldn’t get on the net last night because of LAN issues. So we figured out that it was the cable that was playing up. So I went and spent NZ$28 on 2x 10m premade green CAT5e cables and a joiner. I get home, turn on my computer so I can see when the NIC lights up and what do I see… THE EXISTING CABLE IS LIGHTING UP THE BOX. So I’m majorly pissed off at this situation. But I guess we can still use them for the Xbox – green will work well… Bring on Xbox live in New Zealand! Q4 apparently!
Yay! We’re back online and it’s kicking ass! w00t 🙂 Sweet as 🙂 Cheers to Benny from TelstraClear who came and installed it all 🙂
I’m moving to Grant Rd in Thorndon. I’m still in Wellington, but the rent has been put up at the old place and we gave our two weeks notice two weeks ago. So out we go. Probably won’t be online till Tuesday or Wednesday when our cable gets connected. Oh, we might even have a webcam in the lounge 😀
Miguel: did you know unreal 2 ?
Glutnix: yeah i know its out
Glutnix: apparently it’s too short
Glutnix: i dunno – won’t run on my piece of crap system
Glutnix: how do you say crap in spanish?
Glutnix: my computer is a piece of basura
Miguel: but basura means trash too
Glutnix: that’s good 🙂
Glutnix: it’s trash too 🙂
Glutnix: basically it needs more ram, more cpu, and a 3d card
Miguel: My computer is a piece of crap.
Mi computadora es un pedazo de basura.
Glutnix: hehehe 🙂
I hugged my computer today. It’s been almost a year without a computer in my house that I could call my own. My computer has returned home from a 10 month stint at work, and it’s good to have it home. Life just keeps getting better 🙂 Maybe I’ll do some coding like I’ve been meaning to since about November 2001…. 🙂
